blazing fast laptop, January 11, 2012 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Samsung Series 3 NP300V4A-A03US 14-Inch Laptop (Personal Computers) I am not sure why there aren't too many reviews for this model. I bought this laptop after a few weeks of research and its an excellent buy. the pictures on this websites are incorrect as pointed out by other reviewers. there is no number pad, but thats a non-issue for me. i can always use the row of number keys on the top. Having said that, this laptop is the only one in this price range that comes with 6GB of RAM,HDMI and a 14 inch lightweight body. the screen is awesome to watch netflix. i do heavyweight tasks like running a couple of vmware servers using linux and solaris on this laptop, and it works fast. no lagging whatsoever. instant on feature ensure the laptop is ready to work within 3 seconds as advertised. harddisk could be faster, but no issues with 640gig HD there. the power input seems to be made of plastic, which worries me a bit, as i havent seen plastic power inputs on my other laptops. the laptop does not creek at the dvd drives like my other HP laptops, and the... Pinkish-purplish screen is annoying, February 18, 2012 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Samsung Series 3 NP300V4A-A03US 14-Inch Laptop (Personal Computers) I am returning my purchase because the laptop is black color and not the silver metallic color displayed on the web page. The Number key pad is also different from the webpage photos (see other customers' disappointments in their reviews). Amazon was helpful in arranging the refund due to product not matching description.
The Samsung NP300V4A-A03US has great features for its price and I like the practical yet comapct 14-inch display, which normally cost more than the standard 15.6 inch. However, the screen color tone has a tint of pin and purple especially on white, light blue and light gray background. Adjusting the color in Intel settings and using color calibration did not remove the pink-purplish problem.
It was quite difficult to get on a Chat with the Samsung Tech Support and I finally got through after waiting for 40 minutes. Samsung support agents are also not friendly. Compared with Sony, I was able to chat or speak to a representative almost... Read more

It has plenty of CPU horsepower, better than average battery life (with power management features turned on) and all the necessary ports for a road-warrior - HDMI AND VGA for any kind of projector plus sufficient USB ports to handle anything. Interestingly, when I tethered my Android phone it immediately set up an internet connection - no muss, no fuss, it just worked...
Overall - definitely 5 stars from me...
